Individual Therapy
Depressed? Anxious? Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone. Together, we’ll explore your story, uncover patterns that no longer serve you, and build tools that help you move toward greater clarity, healing, and confidence in your life.
Walk the path to a brighter, better future.
Individual therapy is a space just for you—a chance to pause, reflect, and find support for the challenges you’re carrying. People often seek therapy for concerns like anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, stress, self-esteem, relationship struggles, or simply feeling stuck and unsure of the next step. The therapeutic relationship—the safe, supportive bond between client and therapist—is at the heart of meaningful change in therapy. In this space, you are met with empathy, nonjudgment, and genuine curiosity, which creates the foundation for trust and healing. Research consistently shows that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is one of the strongest predictors of positive outcomes, often more than any specific technique. When you feel truly seen, understood, and accepted, it becomes easier to explore vulnerable parts of yourself, try out new perspectives, and take steps toward your goals. This relationship serves as both a mirror and a guide, helping you build self-awareness, resilience, and the confidence to create lasting change in your life.
Depression
Evidence-based treatments for depression are approaches that research has shown to be effective in reducing symptoms and improving quality of life. Common therapies include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps people identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns; Internal Family Systems Theory (IFS), which focuses on integrating the inner parts of the self with compassion; and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), which blends mindfulness practices with CBT to reduce relapse. For some clients, approaches like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) or somatic techniques may also help address underlying emotional or relational patterns connected to depression. Studies consistently show that therapy not only helps reduce symptoms but also builds long-term coping skills, offering hope and a path forward for those who feel stuck in cycles of sadness, low motivation, or hopelessness. Therapy can also work in concert with medication to best serve some clients and I can provide referrals to psychiatrists for medication evaluation.
Anxiety
Evidence-based treatments for anxiety are well-researched approaches proven to reduce worry, fear, and physical symptoms like restlessness or tension. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is one of the most effective, teaching clients to recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns and gradually face avoided situations. Exposure Therapy can be especially powerful for specific phobias or panic, while Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) helps clients build resilience by learning to accept anxious thoughts without letting them control behavior. Mindfulness-based approaches also calm the nervous system and increase present-moment awareness. Many clients find that therapy not only decreases anxiety symptoms but also improves confidence, focus, and the ability to engage fully in life.
Stress
Life transitions, growing economic pressures, and relational challenges can all cause significant stress. Stress can create major mental health and even physical health problems. Evidence-based treatments for stress help clients better manage the pressures of daily life, reduce overwhelm, and restore balance. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is often used to identify and shift negative thought patterns that fuel stress, while mindfulness-based approaches teach clients how to stay grounded in the present moment rather than getting swept up in worry. Somatic and relaxation techniques such as breathwork, progressive muscle relaxation, or guided imagery calm the body’s stress response, making it easier to think clearly and feel in control. Therapy not only eases immediate stress but also builds long-term coping skills, helping clients set healthy boundaries, improve self-care, and navigate challenges with greater resilience and clarity.
Identity Issues and Self Esteem
Healing from Trauma
In my work with trauma healing, I use a wholistic, integrative approach that supports both the mind and body in processing painful experiences safely. Trauma often leaves lasting imprints on emotions, relationships, and the nervous system, so I draw from a range of evidence-based modalities to address healing on multiple levels. This may include somatic techniques and mindfulness to calm the body’s stress response, Internal Family Systems (IFS) to gently connect with and heal wounded inner parts, and Narrative Therapy to reshape the stories trauma has written about who you are. By weaving these approaches together, we create a compassionate space where you can move at your own pace, rebuild a sense of safety, and reclaim your strength, resilience, and wholeness. Your trauma may be many decades old, brand new, or even undiscovered and I am here to help you release it with love and compassion. I have specialized knowledge in treating sexual trauma survivors and helping people with childhood attachment wounds.
Kink and Sex-Work–Friendly Therapy
My practice is affirming and supportive of clients in kink, BDSM, and sex work communities. I believe these identities and professions are valid expressions of sexuality and livelihood, not pathologies. Therapy here is a safe, judgment-free space where you can bring all aspects of yourself without fear of stigma or misunderstanding. Whether you’re navigating issues around intimacy, relationships, safety, boundaries, or the unique challenges that come with living authentically in these worlds, I will meet you with respect, compassion, and evidence-based care. My work comes with first-hand knowledge and years of experience to explore safely and ethically.
Body-Positive and Weight-Inclusive Therapy
My practice is rooted in a body-positive, weight-inclusive approach. I believe every body deserves respect, care, and the freedom to experience pleasure and connection without shame. Therapy here is a safe space to explore body image, self-esteem, and the impact of cultural messages about weight and appearance. Together, we can work toward healing from body shame, building self-acceptance, and creating a more compassionate relationship with yourself. My goal is to support you in feeling at home in your body and confident in your relationships.
Personality Disorders
In my practice, I blend evidence-based treatments (EBTs) to provide effective and compassionate care for clients navigating personality disorders and mood disorders such as bipolar disorder. I draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to support emotional regulation and relationship stability, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to heal the deeper wounds that often drive painful behaviors. For clients with bipolar disorder, I integrate these tools with psychoeducation, mindfulness, and structured coping strategies to help manage mood fluctuations while also addressing the impact on relationships and self-worth. By tailoring treatment to each person’s unique needs and pacing, I help clients build stability, reduce shame, and create meaningful, sustainable change in their lives.
Support for Compulsive Sexual Behaviors
Concerns such as sex addiction, compulsive pornography use, or paraphilic interests can leave people feeling ashamed, isolated, or out of control. These struggles often show up as patterns of behavior that interfere with relationships, self-esteem, work, or daily life. Sex therapy provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore the underlying emotions, stressors, or traumas that may be fueling these behaviors. Using evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and relational work, therapy can help you develop healthier coping skills, reduce shame, and create a more balanced, satisfying relationship with your sexuality. My goal is not to judge or restrict desire, but to support you in gaining insight, choice, and control so your sexual life aligns with your values and well-being. I treat pedophilia, fetishes, masturbation addictions, and sex addiction with a person-centered non-judgemental approach that focuses on safety and healing.
Neurodiversity and Autism
In my practice, I offer a neurodiversity-affirming, integrative approach that celebrates the strengths of autistic and other neurodivergent clients while also addressing the challenges they may face. I draw from evidence-based therapies like CBT to support anxiety or executive functioning skills, somatic and mindfulness practices to reduce overwhelm and sensory stress, and Narrative and IFS approaches to honor identity, self-understanding, and inner strengths. Rather than trying to “fix” neurodivergence, my focus is on building tools that improve quality of life—whether that’s navigating relationships, processing trauma, managing stress, or finding confidence in self-expression. Therapy becomes a safe, supportive space where clients can embrace their unique ways of experiencing the world and feel empowered to thrive authentically. Creativity and curiosity are key elements to finding solutions for the diverse range of humans seeking treatment.
