Hello, I’m Ariana Throne, MFT-Intern

Marriage and Family Therapy for Nevada Residents

I’m Ariana Throne, AMFT. My style is direct, creative, open, and no-nonsense — I help clients cut through patterns, find their blind spots, connect deeply, stop getting in their own way, and create lasting change. I specialize in working with couples and families, and I bring a trauma-informed, wholistic mentality to mental health.

If you are ready to do the work and see real change, I am ready to support you in a non-judgmental way and tailor your therapy experience to achieve your unique goals.

Getting started is easy

Feeling overwhelmed? Ready for a change, but don’t know where to begin? I’ve been there—and I can help you move forward with clarity.

Let's Work Together

Relationship Counseling

Whether you’re stuck in conflict, struggling with intimacy, or rebuilding trust, I help couples create safer communication and deeper connection. Even with the most powerful love, it is sometimes very challenging to hear one another. Going to therapy does not mean your relationship is ‘failing’ or ‘broken’ it means you are ready for the support you deserve to thrive. I have specialized knowledge on CNM/ENM relationships and LGBTQ+ partnerships beyond just “poly friendly” that comes from years of personal experience and practice.

Family Therapy

Parenting differences, cultural dynamics, and generational wounds can create disconnection. Family therapy helps strengthen your family system so everyone feels heard and supported. An MFT sees problems as a system dynamic, not a ‘defective or broken person’. Your family might be stuck in a pattern that is no longer working. Together we can help reveal and change that dynamic. Research shows children with behavioral issues often see faster change and better outcomes with family therapy than with individual therapy.

Individual Therapy

Yes! Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) is an unfortunate misnomer because we also see individuals, we just frame the problem differently. While we still use the DSM and diagnosis, we understand that symptoms come from a complex web of interactions through a lifetime, both nature and nurture. MFTs endeavor to not pathologize individuals. Individual therapy is a space with a supportive framework to work on YOUR unique goals. Some common issues I treat are anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, PTSD, Sexual trauma, and relationship challenges. I am here to help, you don’t have to do it alone.

Telehealth

Secure video sessions available for residents in the state of Nevada. Telehealth offer flexible and accessible care from the comfort of your home. Research outcomes shows that telehealth has the same benefits as in-person therapy for most issues, and together we can determine if it’s a good fit for you. Currently I only offer in person sessions in one-off as needed situations, but not as standing weekly appointments as I am a telehealth based private practice.

So how much does it cost?

Rates and Insurance

Rates: $120/session (sliding scale available).
Insurance: I accept most major providers
Superbills: Provided for out-of-network reimbursement.
Telehealth: Covered by many insurance plans in Nevada.

How It Works?

My Approach

Therapy That’s Real, Direct, and Collaborative

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS): Helping you connect with your inner parts and find self-leadership.
  • Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT): Building safety and connection in relationships and healing attachment wounds. (longer text paragraph?)
  • Narrative Therapy: Rewriting the stories that no longer serve you.
  • Mindfulness & Somatic Tools: Staying grounded and embodied in the moment, self regulating, and releasing trauma.
  • CBT/DBT: Evidence based skills to catch and change our maladaptive ways of thinking.

Clients describe my approach as straightforward and compassionate. I balance insight with action, so you leave sessions not just feeling heard, but also having new tools to practice.

Step 1: Book a Free Call

Start with a no-pressure discovery call where we’ll talk about what’s going on, what you’re aiming for, and where you’re feeling stuck. This is your space to share openly, ask questions, and see if we’re a good fit. No strings attached—just clarity.

Step 2: Schedule an Intake Session

After our call, if we decide that we are a good fit, I will gather some basic information to create a profile on our HIPPA compliant platform through which you will fill out paperwork and attend sessions. Our first session will be a lot of information gathering, talking through process and expectations, and assessment before we dig into the therapy part.

Step 3: Start Creating Change

Once we’ve we have done a thorough assessment, we’ll begin working together through powerful, focused sessions. You’ll receive personalized support, actionable tools, and real momentum—always in a way that feels aligned with your values and vision. Feedback will go in both directions so that we can be sure you are getting what you need.

You’re one decision away from real change. Let’s take the first step together.

" Out of nowhere my child started having anxiety and trouple falling asleep at night. After 3 sessions, she is back in bed sleeping soundly! Ariana is creative and brilliant with kids"

"Working with Ariana gave us the courage to face the hard truths in our relationship without feeling blamed or shamed. She was loving and nonjudgmental, but also direct enough to help us see where we were getting in our own way, and that honesty brought us closer than we’ve ever been."

"Ariana is both warm and direct—she never judged me, but also didn’t let me hide from the patterns keeping me stuck. With her loving guidance, I learned how to step out of my own way and move forward with self-compassion."
